The first lady of the United States took some time out of her busy Mar-a-Lago schedule recently to make a visit to a group home for victims of domestic violence and other forms of abuse.
In all, Melania visited seven girls who are involved with HomeSafe, an organization located in Palm Beach County whose mission is “Creating safer, more productive lives for infants, children, young adults and families.”
According to the Palm Beach Post, Melania made the visit while Donald Trump was working hard on one of his golf courses. But that’s not the jaw-dropping part of the story folks.
Melania showed up with some baskets of goodies for the girls in sandals that retail for $1,200.
The First Lady was certainly to put modesty aside while spreading good well, don’t you think? Even a foot-wear magazine picked up the story just because of the gaudy headline they could run with it: “Melania Trump Surprises Kids With Easter Baskets in $1,200 Sparkling Ladylike Sandals”.
It just rings, doesn’t it?
Melania made a YUGE mistake though, when she posted a pic of her sporting the foot version of a luxury yacht on her Twitter page. Take a look:

The shoes, pictured here, are available at Neiman Marcus for $1,150:
Fortunately, Melania’s Twitter feed exploded with criticisms. Here are a few, and be sure to check out the original post here for more.
Your shoes cost more than they make in a month.
