Barbara Bush said she doesn’t understand how women can vote for President Donald Trump. The former first lady cited Trump’s record of saying awful things about women, including Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
Mrs. Bush sat down for an interview with CBS’ This Morning along with her son, Republican candidate Jeb Bush. The two spoke out against a misogynistic and vulgar Trump who had recently used a curse word onstage during a campaign rally.
“Our culture’s different now. I don’t think a president would have ever shouted profanities in a speech in front of thousands of people with kids in the crowd,” said Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida.
“Yes, I mean unbelievable,” Mrs. Bush concurred.
“I don’t know how women can vote for someone who said what he said about Megyn Kelly,” Mrs. Bush continued. “It’s terrible. … And money doesn’t buy everything. It’s accomplishments and what you’re doing and giving. It’s incomprehensible to me.”
