Unlike our previous Presidents, Trump gives priority to wage war on NFL instead of addressing the devastation in Puerto Rico caused by Hurricane Maria. For over three million people in Puerto Rico are suffering from the deadly storm and are now living without electricity for up to six months.
Despite the horrific situation on the island, Trump hosted a dinner at the White House this week with conservative leaders. The guests now revealed that Trump is boasting around about his war on the NFL, and he plans to keep the fight alive. He also said that he is “satisfied” with his progress.
Guests included Concerned Women for America CEO Penny Nance, Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser, Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips, Heritage Foundation founder Ed Feulner American Conservative Union leader Leonard Leo and several others.
According to CNN, Trump said, “It’s really caught on. It’s really caught on. I said what millions of Americans were thinking.”
Everyone in the crowd cheered for Pittsburgh Steeler & soldier Alejandro Villanueva, who was the only Steeler to stand outside on Sunday during the playing of the anthem. Nevertheless, Villanueva now regrets his decision and admitted that he wished he had stayed with his teammates in solidarity.
Trump also criticized Sen. John McCain for his opposition to the Graham-Cassidy GOP healthcare bill. During the entire event, Trump never addressed the condition prevailing in Puerto Rico.
It’s sad that our president elates over such a trivial fight instead of sending out aid to Puerto Rico.
